Dark Gold by Christine Feehan
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
So the "arrogant" part continues but I think in this book she ends up giving a better explanation of why. I really liked Aiden/Alex arc--it showed growth on both of their parts and showed that they were willing to work on it. I loved Aiden's human family and that they were an important part of the story! All in all it was a fun escapist read :)

I have to say that I like that the author is consistent with personality types but the one thing I do not like is the constant male domineering act. I think I remember that it gets less as the series goes on but in the first two books it was a little overbearing.

Dark Prince (Carpathians, #1) by Christine Feehan

I just picked this series back up and decided to start from the beginning (been years since I have read it). I remember that the men are a little overbearing (takes some getting used to) and that the woman are constantly telling them to put themselves in check. I do like the lore and look forward to the rest of the series.

So I was really looking forward to this book and was extremely happy with the 2nd half of the story. The first part is a bunch of retelling of what has already been told in other books. Yes it was at times from a different perspective but still a bit to repetitive for me. I am hoping this is not a sign to come of Dev/Samia story but I don't think it would happen since I think that will be a continuation.

This was a well written book that kind of rebooted the series for me because it opened up all sorts of possibilities of where it could go from her. It wrapped up some storylines, thankfully ignored some others, and let you learn more about her ever-changing lore. The leads were fantastic and the story moved along well! Plus there were some very funny parts that made me laugh out loud!

Dead After Dark (Includes: Dark-Hunter, Related Books #10) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I really enjoyed Fury's love story (though I read it out of order)! I am not a huge fan of the shorter novels but she did a good job of picking a character that the reader already knew enough about to throw in the middle of the story.

Not much to say other than I really didn't like this book. It didn't work for me other than the parts of the book that were about the group of people that I care about.
